Copenhagen Classico 2016 is a non-traditional bicycle race.
Unlike most other races, Copenhagen Classico is not about finishing first or getting sweat on your forehead. Quite contrary as a matter of fact.
We all bicycle together at a very modest pace, and to ensure that nobody gets overworked during the 2-hour 25 km event, we do two breaks – first a coffee break and second time a champagne break.
Everybody is welcome. There will be a maximum of 300 participants for the Copenhagen Classico race. All you have to do is dust off your old bicycle (or use a new bike – that has a classic design) and then dress up for the occasion.
You can find ample of inspiration in the picture gallery and video from the Copenhagen Classico 2014 and 2015 elsewhere on this site.
The 2016 Copenhagen Classico will be on Sunday 19 June 2016 at 11.00am (be ready by 10.45am latest). We start at Halmtorvet in the Vesterbro district, and after approx. 22 km around the city we will return back to Halmtorvet.
After the event we arrange lunch and drinks. Solid food and good wine – no musli bars or energy drinks allowed! (please note that lunch is not included in ticket price)
We will also nominate and celibrate the most beautiful bike, the most elegant dress code and the most stylish biking during the Classico race.
